For the past forty years, the
Academia do Bacalhau has set an example in providing a friendly and supportive
atmosphere for its members who are rightfully regarded as
"Compadres". Through years of this practice, your
wonderful organization helped spread Portuguese and Luso-Canadian culture
all around the world.
In addition, your efforts
towards raising funds for helping different charities is much
appreciated by this government.
Once again, on behalf of my
colleagues in the Ontario Legislature, I welcome all the members in the
Tertulia and hope that everyone will have a Congress to remember, here in
